應用多變量統計 矩陣代數與隨機向量、樣本幾何與隨機抽樣、多變量常態分配、母體平均數推論、多母體平均數比較、多變量線性迴歸模型、主成分分析、因子分析、共變異數分析、典型相關分析、判別與分類、集群分析、計算技巧及 SAS、Maple 或其他統計套件之使用與相關主題。講課每週 3 小時；實驗每週 1 小時。先修科目：STAT（MATH）1P11 或 1P12；STAT（MATH）2P82 或得授課教師許可。注意：本課程可能以多種授課方式提供。授課方式將列於學期課表。修畢本課程將取代先前取得之成績與學分於 MATH 3P86。 #

Applied Multivariate Statistics Matrix algebra and random vector, sample geometry and random sampling, multivariate normal distribution, inference about mean, comparison of several multivariate means, multivariate linear regression model, principle components, factor analysis, covariance analysis, canonical correlation analysis, discrimination and classification, cluster analysis, computational techniques and use of SAS, Maple or other statistical packages and related topics. Lectures, 3 hours per week; lab 1 hour per week. Prerequisite(s): STAT (MATH) 1P11 or 1P12; STAT (MATH) 2P82 or permission of the instructor. Note: this course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term. Completion of this course will replace previously assigned grade and credit obtained in MATH 3P86. #
