UBC brings an indoor farming laboratory into campus life
A growing prototype connects food research with everyday campus dining.
UBC is testing indoor vegetable production at Orchard Commons in Vancouver. Researchers, industry partners and university food services are working together on the installation. Campus dining will use its produce, while research teams examine crop quality and how small growing systems could fit into buildings and community infrastructure.
