Sentencing and Punishment of Youth Philosophical and legal foundations, objectives and process of sentencing and punishment of young offenders in Western societies. Gaps between sentencing theory and practice, and issues such as the roles of plea bargaining, mitigating and aggravating factors, victims, and adult sentences for youth. Seminar, 3 hours per week.
