青少年の量刑と処罰 哲学的および法的基盤、目標、ならびに西洋社会における若年罪犯の量刑および処罰の過程。量刑理論と実務の間のギャップ、および司法取引、情状および酌量要素、被害者、青少年に対する成人判決などの問題。セミナー、週3時間。制限：CHYS（単専攻または複合専攻）およびCHYS BA（優等）/BEd（初等/ジュニア）専攻で、第4学年（優等）への承認がある学生に開放。前提条件：CHYS 3P39 または 3Q91（3P40）。注：CHYS 3P39 推奨。本科目は複数の授業形態で提供される場合があります。提供方法は該当学期の学事日程に記載されます。

Sentencing and Punishment of Youth Philosophical and legal foundations, objectives and process of sentencing and punishment of young offenders in Western societies. Gaps between sentencing theory and practice, and issues such as the roles of plea bargaining, mitigating and aggravating factors, victims, and adult sentences for youth. Seminar, 3 hours per week. Restriction: Open to CHYS (single or combined) and CHYS BA (Honours)/BEd (Primary/Junior) majors with approval to year 4 (honours). Prerequisite(s): CHYS 3P39 or 3Q91 (3P40).
