Semantics and Pragmatics Linguistic meaning and speaker meaning examined through comparison of major theoretical frameworks and application of analytic techniques to relevant data. Lecture 3 hours per week. Restriction: open to Applied Linguistics majors, CHYS (single or combined), CHYS (Honours)/BEd (Primary/Junior), NEUR , PSYC (single or combined) majors, APLI, CHYS , PSYC minors, Applied Linguistics Certificate students until date specified in Registration guide.
