아동 및 청소년의 삶에서의 동물 친구들 반려동물이 아동 및 청소년의 사회적·정서적 삶에서 차지하는 역할에 대한 다학제적 고찰. 주제에는 동물/아동 학대, 장애와 치료, 공감 및 자존감, 대처 및 회복력, 사회문화적 관점 등이 포함될 수 있음. 세미나, 주당 3시간. 제한: 우등(4학년) 승인된 CHYS(단독 또는 결합) 및 CHYS BA(우등)/BEd(초등/초등하위) 전공자에게 개방. 참고: 이 과목은 여러 방식으로 제공될 수 있음. 강의 방식은 해당 학기 학사 시간표에 기재됨.

Animals in the lives of Children and Youth Multidisciplinary consideration of the role of companion animals in the social and emotional lives of children and youth. Topics may include animal/child abuse, disability and therapy, empathy and self-esteem, coping and resilience, and sociocultural perspectives. Seminar, 3 hours per week. Restriction: Open to CHYS (single or combined) and CHYS BA (Honours)/BEd (Primary/Junior) majors with approval to year 4 (honours) Note: This course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery.
