Description
Animals in the lives of Children and Youth Multidisciplinary consideration of the role of companion animals in the social and emotional lives of children and youth. Topics may include animal/child abuse, disability and therapy, empathy and self-esteem, coping and resilience, and sociocultural perspectives. Seminar, 3 hours per week. Restriction: Open to CHYS (single or combined) and CHYS BA (Honours)/BEd (Primary/Junior) majors with approval to year 4 (honours) Note: This course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery.
