Description

Human Rights and Disability Theoretical and applied issues related to the promotion and protection of human rights for persons with disabilities. Topics may include the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, implications for inclusive education, person centred service planning and self advocacy. Seminar, 3 hours per week. Restriction: Open to CHYS (single or combined) and CHYS BA (Honours)/BEd (Primary/Junior) majors with approval to year 4 (honours). Note: This course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term.
