課程說明
拉普拉斯變換、常微分方程之級數解、Frobenius 方法。傅立葉級數與傅立葉變換、數學物理之偏微分方程解、邊值問題、應用。
先修條件
- 先修科目：i) MATH 1005 或 MATH 2404，及 ii) MATH 2002 或 MATH 2004 或 MATH 2008 或 MATH 3009；或經學院允許。
條件與方式
- 不予重複加給學分（Precludes additional credit for Precludes additional credit for PHYS 3808 .）。本課程可由任何數學與統計學院之榮譽課程學生作為 3000 級榮譽數學課程計學分。
- 先修科目：i) MATH 1005 或 MATH 2404，及 ii) MATH 2002 或 MATH 2004 或 MATH 2008 或 MATH 3009；或經學院允許。
- 每週三小時講課及一小時課堂教學。

Laplace transforms, series solutions of ordinary differential equations, the Frobenius method. Fourier series and Fourier transforms, solutions of partial differential equations of mathematical physics, boundary value problems, applications.
- Prerequisite(s): i) MATH 1005 or MATH 2404 , and ii) MATH 2002 or MATH 2004 or MATH 2008 or MATH 3009 ; or permission of the School.
- Precludes additional credit for Precludes additional credit for PHYS 3808 . This course may be taken for credit as a 3000-level Honours Mathematics course by students in any Honours program in the School of Mathematics and Statistics.
- Lectures three hours a week and one hour tutorial.
