Sociology of Criminal Justice (also offered as SOCI 2P62 ) Analysis of the criminal justice system (courts, policing and punishment), and the encroachment of criminal justice approaches into other sectors, such as migration control and healthcare. Interactions between criminal justice, social inequality and settler colonialism. Critical perspectives on the social construction of law, problematics of policing and enforcement, crime, and criminalization. Lectures, 3 hours per week.
