Beur Literature and Film Beur phenomenon in France via novels and film. Historical, cultural, ideological and theoretical concerns. Authors may include Azouz Begag, Nina Bouraoui, Mehdi Charef, Soraya Nini and Leïla Sebbar. Lectures, 3 hours per week. Prerequisite(s): FREN 2F03 , two FREN or MLLC credits numbered 3(alpha)00 or above, with at least one-half credit (taught in French) in literature.
