Este curso tem como objetivo familiarizar os estudantes com a estrutura da língua inglesa, destacando contrastes importantes entre o inglês e outras línguas, assim como dificuldades gramaticais para aprendentes de ESL.

- Pré-requisito(s): situação de terceiro ano em Applied Linguistics and Discourse Studies, ou em Linguística, ou matrícula no programa CTESL, ou permissão do instrutor.

This course is intended to familiarize students with the structure of the English language, highlighting important contrasts between English and other languages as well as grammatical difficulties for ESL learners.
- Prerequisite(s): third-year standing in Applied Linguistics and Discourse Studies, or in Linguistics, or enrolment in the CTESL program, or permission of the instructor.
- Lectures three hours a week.
