古代から現代に至るまでの、人文学の主要な諸概念への入門。対象となる影響力の大きい魅力的なテキストには、聖書、バガヴァッド・ギーター、ホメロスのオデュッセイア、プラトンの国家、ダンテの地獄篇、マキャヴェッリの君主論、シェイクスピアのハムレット、シェリーのフランケンシュタインなどが含まれることがある。

An introduction to major ideas in the Humanities, through some of the most influential and exciting texts from Antiquity to the present day. Works may include the Bible, the Bhagavad Gita, Homer’s Odyssey, Plato’s Republic, Dante’s Inferno, Machiavelli’s The Prince, Shakespeare’s Hamlet, Shelley’s Frankenstein.
- Prerequisite(s): Students in the Bachelor of Humanities are not eligible to register in this course.
- Lecture three hours per week.
