近代カナダにおけるファースト・ネーションズ カナダの先住民の歴史（植民地主義、宣教師との関わり、条約と先住民主権、教育と寄宿学校、医療と医療政策、活動、口承、土地請求と資源搾取を含む）。セミナー、週3時間。制限：履修はHIST（単専攻または複合専攻）およびHIST（Honours）/BEd（Intermediate/Senior）専攻で、年次4（オナーズ）への承認がある者、あるいは登録ガイドに指定された期日まで講師および学科長の許可がある者に限る。注：HIST 2Q97 推奨。本科目は複数の開講形態で提供される場合があります。開講方法は該当学期の学期時間割に記載されます。

First Nations in Modern Canada History of Aboriginal people in Canada including colonialism, interactions with missionaries, treaties and Aboriginal sovereignty, education and residential schools, health and health care policies, activism, oral narratives, land claims and resource exploitation. Seminar, 3 hours per week.
