比較司法制度 司法権の世界的拡大と、民主化、権利保護、政治的中央集権化、社会紛争の解決における裁判所の役割。世界各地の国内裁判所および超国家的裁判所を、コモンローとシビルローの両制度から検討する。トピックには権利革命の成功と失敗、政治の司法化、裁判所改革、司法審査の正当化などが含まれる。ゼミ、週3時間。制限: POLS または FPAC（単独または複合）専攻で、全体で最小14.0単位かつ専攻平均最低70パーセントを満たす者、または第4年（優等）への承認を受けた者に開放。注: POLI 2P31 および POLI 2P32 (2F30) を強く推奨。複数の提供方法で開講される場合があります。提供方法は該当学期の学事時間割に記載されます。

Comparative Judicial Systems Global expansion of judicial power and the role of courts in democratization, rights protection, political centralization, and resolving societal conflict. Domestic as well as supranational courts from around the world are considered, representing both common law and civil law systems. Topics include the success and failure of the rights revolutions, the judicialization of politics, court reform, and justifications for judicial review. Seminar, 3 hours per week. Restriction: open to POLS or FPAC (single or combined) majors with either a minimum of 14.0 overall credits and a minimum 70 percent major average or approval to year 4 (honours). Note: POLI 2P31 and POLI 2P32 (2F30) strongly recommended. This course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term.
