Palabras sobre palabras: narrativas del lenguaje (también ofrecido como ENGL 4P15) Historia crítica del estudio del lenguaje desde Sócrates hasta Saussure y después. Teorías sobre la naturaleza y el origen del lenguaje; las relaciones entre la realidad, el lenguaje y el pensamiento, incluida la relación entre teorías lingüísticas y representación literaria en varios periodos históricos. Seminario, 3 horas por semana. Restricción: abierto a majors de ENCW (individual o combinado), ENGL (individual o combinado), ENGL (Honores)/BEd (Intermedio/Senior), WRDS (individual o combinado), ALTS, APLI (individual o combinado), BCMN, COMM, HEAR, MCMN y SPLS (individual o combinado) con aprobación para el año 4 (honores) o permiso del instructor y del Presidente del Departamento. Nota: este curso puede ofrecerse en múltiples modos de impartición. El método de impartición aparecerá en el horario académico, en el periodo aplicable. La finalización de este curso reemplazará la calificación asignada y el crédito obtenidos previamente en WRIT 4P15. *
