Nationalism and Ethnic Politics Theories of nationalism, ethnic conflict and secession. Use of case studies to analyze civil war, genocide and the political mobilization of ethno-national groups. Seminar, 3 hours per week. Restriction: open to POLS (single or combined) and INPE majors with either a minimum of 14.0 overall credits and a minimum 70 percent major average or approval to year 4 (honours). Note: POLI 2P31 and POLI 2P32 (2F30) strongly recommended. This course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery.
