Description

Introduction to Counselling Practice Theories and skills appropriate to a variety of helping professional roles and responsibilities. Core skills associated with attending, responding and exploring are emphasized within the context of blended models of counselling including in-person, virtual care and nature therapies, for relationship-building pertaining to child and youth studies, education, social services and health. Seminar, 3 hours per week. Restriction: Open to CHYS (single or combined) and CHYS BA (Honours)/BEd (Primary/Junior) majors with approval to year 4 (honours) Note: This course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term. Completion of this course will replace previous assigned grade and credit obtained in CHYS 4V10.
