Description
Introduction to Computer Architecture Evolution of digital computer. Computer organization including functional units, instruction cycle, control, buses and memory. Instruction types and memory access, instruction sequencing and call/return. Basic assembly language programming. Lectures, 3 hours per week; lab, 2 hours per week. Prerequisite(s): COSC 1P03 (minimum 60 percent). Note: this course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term.
