Description
Introduction to Media Computation (also offered as IASC 1P00 ) Programming by example, designing and debugging of programs, encoding and manipulation of text and graphics, file processing, simple HTML and automatic generation, and manipulating and parsing of web pages. Lectures, 3 hours per week; lab, 2 hours per week; tutorial, 1 hour per week. Restriction: not open to COSC (single or combined), BCB, CAST, CNET and DASA majors. Note: prior computer experience is not required. This course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term. *
