Licensure to practice medicine in Canada is regulated by each Province. Generally speaking, most provinces require that doctors practicing in Canada have achieved certification by either the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada at www.rcpsc.medical.org. In order to have your credentials formally assessed, it will be necessary for you to contact the appropriate college directly.
Each province in Canada has different eligibility requirements for licensing therefore, depending on the province you wish to reside, you must contact the appropriate regulatory authority directly for this information. A listing of contact information for the provincial regulatory authorities can be found on our website at www.fmrac.ca under "Contacts and General Info" then under "Members".
