課程說明
概覽影響數位媒體製作與傳播之加拿大法律與倫理議題，包括權利與自由憲章、對新聞自由之限制（含出版禁令）、誹謗與藐視法。不同倫理決策法的取徑及其應用。
先修條件
- 先修科目：JOUR 1001、JOUR 1002、COMS 1001、COMS 1002，或註冊於媒體製作與設計學士、或註冊於新聞媒體與資訊副修、或註冊於公共事務與政策管理學士之傳播與政策研究專修，或新聞與傳播學院核准。
條件與方式
- 亦列為 JOUR 2400 與 COMS 2401。
- 不予另行認列 COMS 2501（已停開）、JOUR 2501（已停開）、JOUR 3300、MPAD 3300 及 MPAD 2501（已停開）的額外學分。
- 先修科目：JOUR 1001、JOUR 1002、COMS 1001、COMS 1002，或註冊於媒體製作與設計學士、或註冊於新聞媒體與資訊副修、或註冊於公共事務與政策管理學士之傳播與政策研究專修，或新聞與傳播學院核准。
- 每週三小時講座與討論。

Survey of Canadian laws and ethical issues that affect production and dissemination of digital media, including Charter of Rights and Freedoms, limitations on freedom of the press, including publication bans, libel and contempt of court. Different approaches to ethical decision-making and their applications.
- Prerequisite(s): JOUR 1001 , JOUR 1002 , COMS 1001 , COMS 1002 , or enrollment in the Bachelor of Media Production and Design, or enrollment in the Minor in News Media and Information, or enrollment in the Communications and Policy Studies specialization of the Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management, or permission of the School of Journalism and Communication.
