對人性理論之批判性跨文化探索。自西方人類學的意識模型概述開始，並參照民族誌研究，檢視科學、哲學與宗教觀點，涵蓋西方與非西方文化所產出的關於神話、宗教與科學的研究。

Begins with a survey of western anthropological models of human consciousness and examines scientific, philosophical and religious perspectives with reference to ethnographic research on myth, religion and science produced by western and non-western cultures.
