語言意義的研究。詞彙意義與較大語言表達的意義，包括名詞單位、動詞單位與句子。話語間的意義關係。語言的語義（semantics）與語境意義（語用學，pragmatics）之關係。語義的基本形式處理。
先修條件
- 先修科目：三年級資格，且具下列之一：LING 1001、PHIL 2001、PHIL 2504/LING 2504/COMS 2504 或 PHIL 3504/LING 3504，或經哲學系或語言學與語言研究學院許可。
