透過個案研究介紹音樂研究中的議題與方法，範圍涵蓋廣泛音樂（包括西方藝術音樂、全球音樂傳統、流行音樂與爵士樂）。包含音樂寫作與研究導論。
條件與方式
- 排除另外取得 MUSI 1000（已停開）、MUSI 1001（已停開）、MUSI 1002（已停開）之學分。
- 每週三小時講授。
