International Money and Finance Monetary approach to the balance of payments and exchange rate determination under rational expectations and other expectations regimes. Economic shocks, exchange rate volatility and efficiency of exchange rate markets. Capital flows and optimal currency areas. Lectures, 3 hours per week.
