Hispanic Linguistics Overview of major trends and issues in Spanish and Portuguese linguistics. Topics may include language variation and change, historical linguistics, language contact, dialectology, sociolinguistics, text linguistics. Emphasis on linguistic aspects and theory-driven approaches. Lectures, seminar, 3 hours per week. Prerequisite(s): 10.0 overall credits or permission of the instructor. Note: given in English.
