Introdução à investigação sociológica por meio do estudo de abordagens sociológicas ao conhecimento, da relação entre teoria e métodos, introdução a diferentes tradições metodológicas incluindo suas fundações epistemológicas, valor e limitações. Introduction to sociological inquiry through the study of sociological approaches to knowledge, the relationship of theory to methods, introduction to different methodological traditions including their epistemological foundations, value and limitations. Students will acquire foundational academic skills.

- Lectures/discussion groups three hours per week.
