Prática de Enfermagem: Promoção da Saúde Mental Prática, aplicação e integração de habilidades e teoria em relação a adultos, idosos e famílias que enfrentam desafios de saúde mental. 15 horas por semana, sessões laboratoriais selecionadas. Restrição: aberto a estudantes major em NUSC. Pré-requisito(s): NUSC 2P12 e 2P16 . Co-requisito(s): NUSC 3P14 . Nota: é exigida verificação de antecedentes criminais com triagem de setor vulnerável para o primeiro dia de clínica e não pode ter mais de seis meses. Estudantes necessitam de certificação CPR atual (BCLS ou Nível C) e recertificação anual, teste de ajuste de máscara N-95 a cada dois anos, comprovação de imunizações (COVID-19, Sarampo, Caxumba, Rubéola; Varicela; Hepatite B; Tétano/Difteria/Coqueluche; Tuberculose) bem como teste cutâneo anual de TB. Requisitos de imunização, CPR e ajuste de máscara devem ser válidos durante o estágio clínico e enviados para Synergy Gateway Inc. até 1 de junho. O não cumprimento da data acarretará impedimento do estudante de se matricular em cursos clínicos para o ano acadêmico em curso. O estágio clínico pode ser agendado à noite e/ou aos fins de semana. Transporte até o local de estágio é responsabilidade do estudante. Será aplicada uma taxa de prática. Este curso pode ser oferecido em múltiplos modos de ensino. O método de oferta estará listado no horário acadêmico, no termo aplicável.

Nursing Practicum: Promoting Mental Health Practice, application and integration of skills and theory in relation to adults, older adults, and families experiencing mental health challenges. 15 hours per week, selected laboratory sessions. Restriction: open to NUSC majors. Prerequisite(s): NUSC 2P12 and 2P16 . Corequisite(s): NUSC 3P14 . Note: Police record check with a vulnerable sector screening is required for the first day of clinical and cannot be greater than six months old. Students require current CPR (BCLS or Level C) certification and annual re-certification, N-95 mask fit testing every two years, proof of Immunizations (COVID-19, Measles, Mumps, Rubella; Varicella; Hepatitis B; Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis; Tuberculosis) as well as annual TB Skin Testing. Immunization, CPR and mask fit requirements must be valid through the clinical placement and submitted to Synergy Gateway Inc. by June 1. Failure to comply with the due date will result in student not being permitted to register in clinical courses for the current academic year. Clinical practicum may be scheduled in the evening and/or on weekends. Transportation to clinical placement is a student responsibility. A practicum fee will be applied.This course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term.
