수리물리학 입문 (PHYS 3P95 로도 개설) 변분법, 라그랑지안 및 해밀토니안 역학, 장 이론, 미분형식, 벡터 및 다중벡터장, 텐서장, 리 미분, 연결, 리만 계량, 리 군 및 리 대수, 다양체, 양자역학의 수학적 아이디어 등 주제가 포함될 수 있음. 이론물리학에의 응용. 강의 주당 3시간; 실험/튜토리얼 주당 1시간. STAT 1P98 또는 STAT 1F92와 동시수강은 허용되지 않으며 학점은 인정되지 않습니다.

Introduction to Mathematical Physics (also offered as PHYS 3P95 ) Topics may include Calculus of variations, Lagrangian and Hamiltonian mechanics, field theory, differential forms, vector and polyvector fields, tensor fields, Lie derivative, connection, Riemannian metric, Lie groups and algebras, manifolds, and mathematical ideas of quantum mechanics. Applications to theoretical physics. Lectures, 3 hours per week; lab/tutorial, 1 hour per week. Concurrent enrolment in STAT 1P98 or in STAT 1F92 is not permitted and credit will not be counted.
