ベクタ地理空間データの格納、視覚化、操作および解析。バッファリング、重ね合わせ、トポロジー解析を含むベクタジオプロセッシング；フィーチャ分類と地図表現；ベクタレイヤの座標参照系管理；都市計画、環境・資源管理、社会経済マッピングなどのベクタGISの選択された応用。
