The Rise and Fall of the Russian Empire The Russian empire and its components over the past 500 years. Topics include expansion, nationalities, diplomacy and the politics of dissolution in the post-Soviet era. Lectures, seminar, 3 hours per week. Restriction: open to HIST (single or combined), HIST (Honours)/BEd (Intermediate/Senior) majors and minors until date specified in Registration guide.
