データベースシステム データベースの基本概念：仕様、設計および応用；リレーショナルモデルを含む各種モデル；正規形、効率性に関する考慮、SQLを用いたクエリ、データベース管理およびセキュリティ。グループプロジェクトでの実践経験。講義、週3時間；実習、週2時間。前提科目：COSC 2P03（最低60パーセント）。注意：本科目は複数の提供方式で開講される場合がある。提供方式は該当学期の学事時刻表に記載される。本科目の履修完了はCOSC 2P32で以前に付与された成績と単位を置き換える。

Database Systems Fundamental database concepts: specification, design and applications; various models including the relational model; normal forms, efficiency considerations, queries using SQL, database administration and security. Practical experience in a group project. Lectures, 3 hours per week; lab, 2 hours per week. Prerequisite(s): COSC 2P03 (minimum 60 percent). Note: this course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term. Completion of this course will replace previous assigned grade and credit obtained in COSC 2P32.
