中世・初期近世のキリスト教（MARS 3P96としても提供） 中世の始まりからプロテスタント宗教改革の直前までのキリスト教会史における連続性と非連続性を学際的に研究する。教会権威、キリスト教とユダヤ教・イスラム教の相互作用、社会構造の変化、修道改革、十字軍、魔術、科学と宗教、教皇制、聖人崇拝と遺物への献身などを検討する。講義、セミナー、週3時間。注：本コースは複数の提供モードで開講される場合があります。提供方法は該当学期の学期時間割に掲載されます。#

Medieval and Early Modern Christianity (also offered as MARS 3P96 ) Interdisciplinary study of the continuities and discontinuities in the history of the Christian Church from the onset of the Middle Ages to the eve of the Protestant reformations. Examination of ecclesiastical authority, Christianity's interactions with Judaism and Islam, changing social structures, monastic reforms, the Crusades, magic, science, religion, the papacy, and the cult of saints and devotion to relics. Lectures, seminar, 3 hours per week. Note: this course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term. #
