Descripción
Este curso explora las justificaciones y prácticas del castigo y el control social desde una perspectiva sociojurídica. Se consideran las racionalizaciones y justificaciones del castigo. Se examinarán diferentes formas de castigo y control dentro del derecho, así como diferentes perspectivas teóricas sobre el castigo.

- Requisito(s): LAWS 2301 y 0.5 crédito en LAWS a nivel 2000.

This course explores justifications and practices of punishment and social control from a socio-legal perspective. Rationalizations and justifications for punishment are considered. Different forms of punishment and control within the law will be examined as well as different theoretical perspectives of punishment.
- Prerequisite(s): LAWS 2301 and 0.5 credit in LAWS at the 2000 level.
- Lectures three hours a week.
