Descripción
Una introducción a la criminalística que cubre temas en biología molecular, bioquímica, genética, genética poblacional y estadística en relación con la biología forense. El curso describirá las técnicas utilizadas para identificar fluidos corporales y generar perfiles de ADN, así como la interpretación de resultados forenses.
Prerrequisitos
- Requisito(s): ( BIOL 2104 o BIOL 2107 ) y ( BIOL 2200 / BIOC 2200 o BIOL 2201 ) o permiso del Departamento.
Condiciones y modalidades

- Clases magistrales tres horas a la semana.

An introduction to forensics that covers topics in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, population genetics and statistics as they relate to forensic biology. The course will describe the techniques used to identify body fluids and generate DNA profiles as well as the interpretation of forensic results.

- Lectures three hours a week.
