Description
Study of the 17th and 18th centuries: reason and universalism, encyclopedism, construction and representation of otherness, colonialism and slavery. Analysis of major literary developments: essays and philosophical tales, theatre and social critique, evolution of the novelistic discourse. Theoretical approaches to the literary text.
