Description
The Philosophy of Art (also offered as VISA 2Q98 ) Classical theories of art through analysis of painting, photography, video, film, music and drama examining such concepts as beauty, creativity, artistic intention, perception, interpretation, and the nature and possible role of art. Lectures, 3 hours per week. Prerequisite(s): one PHIL credit, VISA 1Q98 and 1Q99 , or permission of the instructor. Note: this course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery.
