Social Class and Social Conflict (also offered as LABR 2P71 and SOCI 2P71 ) Classical and contemporary approaches to the study of social class. Topics may include class relations and class conflict, elites, social mobility, poverty and social marginalization, the Canadian class structure in comparison to other industrialized nations. Lectures, seminar, 3 hours per week. Restriction: open to CRIM (single or combined), LABR and SOCI majors, CRIM, CRAS, SOCI and LABR minors until date specified in Registration guide. Prerequisite(s): CRIM 1P90 and 1P91 (1F90) or one LABR credit numbered 1(alpha)90 to 1(alpha)99. Note: this course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery.
