Description
Sport Event Management Examination of traditional and niche events in sport at local, provincial, national and international levels. Topics include phases in the planning model, concept of facilitation, contingency planning, environmental sustainability, bid process and the politics of events. Lectures, 3 hours per week. Restriction: open to SPMA majors. Prerequisite(s): SPMA 1P91 (minimum 60 percent) and 1P92 (minimum 60 percent). Note: this course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term. Completion of this course will replace previous assigned grade and credit obtained in SPMA 3P08 .
