Description
Research Issues in Applied Linguistics Critical examination and application of current linguistic theories. Topics may include the analysis of language in relation to ethnicity, class and power in institutional and other social settings (sociolinguistics), in relation to language teaching or in relation to other applied linguistics domains. Seminar, 3 hours per week. Restriction: open Applied Linguistics majors with approval to year 4 (honours), Applied Linguistics Certificate students or permission of the Chair. Note: this course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term.
