SPMA 3V93 2024-2025: US West Coast Sport Management Field Trip Intensive series of behind-the-scenes tours, industry presentations and attendance at major spectator events from leading global brands/organizations in the sports and entertainment industry. Field experience Restriction: open to SPMA majors with a minimum of 8.0 overall credits and permission of the instructor. Note: students are required to pay their own expenses. SPMA 3V94 2024-2025: European Field course: Madrid Intensive series of classes and experiences with a focus on international sport management and marketing. Lectures, teamwork, case studies, student presentations with leading academics and professionals in the sport industry. Cultural, sporting, networking opportunities. Takes place on-site in designated European location. Field Experience Restriction: open to SPMA majors with 8.0 credits and permission of the instructor. This course will analyze the ways in which sport functions currently, and historically, as a colonial presence and how Indigenous peoples are working to actively affirm their capacity andcounter colonial impacts.
