Description
Database Systems Fundamental database concepts: specification, design and applications; various models including the relational model; normal forms, efficiency considerations, queries using SQL, database administration and security. Practical experience in a group project. Lectures, 3 hours per week; lab, 2 hours per week. Prerequisite(s): COSC 2P03 (minimum 60 percent). Note: this course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term. Completion of this course will replace previous assigned grade and credit obtained in COSC 2P32.
