Description
Sport Event Management Examination of traditional and niche events in sport at local, provincial, national and international levels. Topics include phases in the planning model, concept of facilitation, contingency planning, environmental sustainability, bid process, venues and the politics of events. Lectures, 3 hours per week. Restriction: open to SPMA majors with 8.0 overall credits. Prerequisite(s): SPMA 2P06 or 2P16 . Note: this course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term. Completion of this course will replace previous assigned grade and credit obtained in SPMA 2P98 .
