Description

Nursing Practicum: Intersession Practice, application, and integration of skills and theory in a variety of health care settings. 120 hours over four to five weeks, selected laboratory sessions. Restriction: open to NUSC majors. Prerequisite(s): NUSC 3P12 , 3P14 , 3P90 and 3P92 . Note: students require current CPR (BCLS or Level C) certification and annual re-certification, N-95 mask fit testing every two years, proof of Immunizations (COVID-19, Measles, Mumps, Rubella; Varicella; Hepatitis B; Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis; Tuberculosis) as well as annual TB Skin Testing. All requirements must be valid through the clinical placement and submitted to Synergy Gateway Inc. by June 1. Failure to comply with the due date will result in student not being permitted to register in clinical courses for the current academic year. Clinical practicum may be scheduled in the evening and/or on weekends. Transportation to clinical placement is a student responsibility. A practicum fee will be applied. This course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term.
