Description
Programming Languages Fundamental concepts of programming languages including syntax, semantics, program translation, virtual machines, control, data types, multi-threading, exception handling and abstraction mechanisms. Introduction to programming paradigms including imperative, applicative, logic and object-oriented. Lectures, 3 hours per week. Prerequisite(s): COSC 2P03 (minimum 60 percent). Note: this course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term. Completion of this course will replace previous assigned grade and credit obtained in COSC 2P90 and 3P05. #
