مقرر محاضرة/مختبر حول آليات الوراثة وطبيعة بنية الجين وتركيبته ووظيفته، يقدم كل من الوراثة المندلية الكلاسيكية والوراثة الجزيئية الحديثة. ينصح بشدة أن يأخذ طلاب تخصص علم الأحياء هذا المقرر في سنتهم الثانية.

- المتطلبات السابقة: BIOL 1103 و BIOL 1104 .
الشروط والإجراءات
- يحول دون منح ائتمان إضافي لـ Precludes additional credit for BIOL 2106 (no longer offered) and BIOL 2107 . يُعطى ائتمان BIOL 2106 فقط إذا أُخذ قبل BIOL 2104 .
- المتطلبات السابقة: BIOL 1103 و BIOL 1104 .
- محاضرات ثلاث ساعات في الأسبوع، مختبر أو تمرين ثلاث ساعات في الأسبوع.

Lecture/laboratory course on the mechanisms of inheritance and the nature of gene structure, composition and function, introducing both classical Mendelian genetics and modern molecular genetics. It is strongly recommended that this course be taken by Biology majors in their second year of study.
- Prerequisite(s): BIOL 1103 and BIOL 1104 .
- Precludes additional credit for Precludes additional credit for BIOL 2106 (no longer offered) and BIOL 2107 . Credit for BIOL 2106 will only be given if taken before BIOL 2104 .
- Lectures three hours a week, laboratory or tutorial three hours a week.
