SCI_ART 2026 at UBC Okanagan: Canadian and EU artists and researchers convene (Oct 7–8, 2026)
SCI_ART 2026 brings artists and researchers from Canada and the EU to UBC Okanagan on Oct 7–8, 2026 for residencies, performances and public presentations.
SCI_ART 2026 creates interdisciplinary collaborations through artist residencies, performances, public presentations and joint research. At UBC Okanagan the events run Oct 7–8, 2026 at the Critical Future Studio/Lab (Innovation Precinct Annex 1, 3505 Spectrum Court, Kelowna). Programming includes a free one-hour selection of award-winning works from the Ars Electronica Animation Festival screened Oct 7 in the University Theatre, followed by a panel and presentations on Oct 8. Organized by UBCO’s Critical Future Studio/Lab within the Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies, the symposium is supported by the European Union and several embassies.
