Algonquin’s WiTT enters year two with new industry sponsors and expanded mentorship
Algonquin College’s Women in Tech & Trades (WiTT) begins its second year on Oct 6, 2026, adding Trailblazer sponsors ALSTOM and Canadian Bank Note and increasing industry mentorship.
Launched Fall 2025 with support from the Leacross Foundation, WiTT supports women across technology and trades programs (School of Advanced Technology, School of Creative and Interdisciplinary Studies, Algonquin Centre for Construction Excellence). In year two it welcomes ALSTOM and Canadian Bank Note Company, Limited as Trailblazer sponsors alongside Modern Niagara, OPG and Enbridge Gas. WiTT delivered signature events and networking experiences in year one, awarded financial support to 10 students, and will now place greater emphasis on industry mentorship to help students build professional networks and employability skills.
