UBC’s Centre de la Francophonie will host the first Francophone Research Forum in British Columbia on Nov. 6, 2026, gathering researchers and partners to address funding, partnerships and sharing research in French.

UBC’s Centre de la Francophonie, established 16 years ago, broadens its support for French‑language campus life and research across British Columbia. On Nov. 6, 2026, it will host the province’s first Francophone Research Forum, bringing researchers from UBC, UBC Okanagan, Simon Fraser University, the University of Victoria and other institutions to discuss funding, inter‑institutional partnerships and dissemination in French. The Centre works with CBC‑Radio‑Canada and Acfas to support grant applications in French and helps students and researchers find exchanges, scholarships and collaboration opportunities. Funding comes from UBC faculties, UBC Extended Learning, the Government of Canada and B.C.’s Ministry of Education and Child Care.
